Confirmed: The Strokes’ new album will be released in March
One of the most anticipated discs of 2011, the rock group The Strokes, released in March. Bassist Nikolai Fraiture confirmed the news during an interview with BBC Radio, SPIN reported Wednesday.

It will be a debut for the formation of New York since First Impressions of Earth, released in 2006. The bassist also said that the new album marks something of a reversal for the group.
“I feel that this album is that we should have done from Room on Fire and First Impressions of Earth, ” he said in an interview.
The Strokes will hit the road for a world tour to support the album.
