Band Profile: Stone Temple Pilots
Stone Temple Pilots (or STP) is an American rock band. Although one of its main characteristics is the variety of musical styles, ranging in the ambiguity of alternative rock. Formed in the early ’90s, and became one of the most notable thanks to anthems like “Plush,” “Sex Type Thing” and “Interstate Love Song.”
Framed in the grunge trend, were contemporaries of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, among others. Despite suffering notorious allegations of copying the style of other groups, survived the fierce criticism and they wrote their particular page in the history of music with five-disc progressive autonomous uprooting with musical trends and fads of the moment.
