Oasis is a British rock band formed in Manchester in the early nineties. Initially known as The Rain, the band was formed by vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarist Paul Arthurs, bassist Paul McGuigan and drummer Tony McCarroll, who would later join as a composer and guitarist Liam’s older brother, Noel Gallagher (who left the band on August 28, 2009).

Musically his main influences are, in themselves, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who. They have also named, among others, The Stooges, The Kinks, The Smiths and Neil Young.
