Muse Band Profile
Biography
Muse is an alternative rock band from the town of Teignmouth, Devon (England) formed in 1994 by Matthew Bellamy (vocals, guitar, and keyboards), Dominic Howard (drums) and Chris Wolstenholme (bass, keyboards, vocals).
The three were friends from school and changed the name of the band on several occasions (ghotic Plage, Fixed Penalty and Rocket Baby Dolls) before adopting the Muse.
Their sound is a mix of alternative rock and electronica, with influences from classical music and progressive rock, sometimes including metal guitars and Spanish.
Normally used the bass line as the dominant force, Lesnar distortions and other similar effects to achieve a more forceful sound, allowing the guitar away from the main melody and achieve higher grades, another peculiarity is Muse’s piano style in Most of his songs and his music is inspired by the works of Romantic pianist-composers like Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and Liszt, resulting in a fusion of Romantic style and modern rock.
