The History of Duran Duran

One of the best events that occurred in the 80′s, was undoubtedly the appearance of the band Duran Duran in the music scene, who managed to stop them marking the style “new romantic” of those times, consisting of a mixture of techno-pop and glam of other popular groups eighties.
Born as a band in Birmingham, England in the year 1978 and the hand of Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Simon Colley and Stephen Duffy. It was only in 1980 that he joined the group Simon Le Bon and Andy and Roger Taylor who replaced Colley and Duffy.
It is known that in the beginning the group was not recognized as it should, especially for the important legacy we were leaving for the music, it finally arrived but something out of time.
The band name was taken from the movie “Barbarella” starring Jane Fonda in 1968, and combined with the unbridled pleasure of young people of those times, especially among women who were in the main fans of Duran Duran.
Duran Duran and A new album with Mark Ronson
Veterans of the romantic wave of the 1980s, Duran Duran, are still very much alive and promise for the December release of a new album, All You Need Is Now, produced by Mark Ronson, the producer responsible for Amy’s success Winehouse.
Nick Rhodes, keyboardist training, admitted to Spinner that the album will be one of their best in a long time.
“It’s the best record we’ve done since at least two decades.”
Owen Pallett, the Canadian violinist who has been a member of Arcade Fire, the sign string arrangements on All You Need is Now.
The band Duran Duran, who also made his name at the time, with his videos often shot in exotic locations, promises new in that department.
“I can say that we will shoot a video for each song on the album, which is something we have never done since our inception. We feel that the visual material and content is again becoming a capital gain, “said Rhodes.
And finally, good news for fans of the group: “We will go on tour for sure next year,” Nick Rhodes has promised to conclude the interview.
