Deep Purple

Deep Purple is a British hard rock band, considered one of the fathers of heavy metal along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, among others.

The beginning: Roundabout and MkI
Deep Purple was formed in 1968 under the name of Roundabout, with a project conceived by singer Chris Curtis years ago, reserving the position of keyboard player for his roommate Jon Lord and guitarist for an old acquaintance, Ritchie Blackmore , which at that time was based in Germany.

In this trio was later joined by bassist Nick Simper, who had previously worked in other bands with Ritchie Blackmore. However, in the few weeks, the decisions discussed Chris Curtis was enough for Jon Lord left the band, and behind him, Ritchie Blackmore and Nick Simper, so Roundabout was almost doomed to extinction. The efforts of the managers of the group were still alive as it took to expel the ideologue Chris Curtis of it, convincing the other members around to it.
