British band Coldplay is a Britpop style alternative rock. It was formed in 1998 and is known for its gentle and introspective lyrics.

For the January 8, 1998, completed his training Coldplay, Will Champion to join. He could play the piano, guitar and bass, and though he could not play drums, he learned quickly. At that time, played under the name Starfish.
They took the name Coldplay from a mutual friend, Tim Rice-Oxley of Keane. Tim decided not to use that name because it was very depressing. At the same time Tim was offered to be the pianist of Coldplay, but declined because he was committed to Keane. Read the rest of this entry »
