 Björk

Björk is a singer, actress and composer born in Iceland, is well known for his constant interest in various genres of music including pop, alternative rock, jazz, electronica and folk, has won many awards and has been nominated for Grammy awards 12 times. It has sold over 15 million copies of his album ‘One Little Indian’ in 2003, his newest album ‘Volta’ released May 2007. Has been considered in the list ‘of the top 100 women of Rock% Roll’.

His musical career began when she was just eleven years, with their basic education while studying piano at school, when one of her teachers decided to send a tape of the girl playing Tina Turner’s song “I Love to Love ‘and immediately started ringing in what was then the only radio station in Iceland and became one of the most requested. At 14 he formed her first band which he named ‘Spit and Snot’, heavily influenced by punk rock in 1979 formed another group ‘Exodus’ this time influenced by jazz.

In 1986 he formed another band called ‘The Sugarcubes’ whose first single ‘Ammæli’ or ‘Birthday’ became a surprise hit in the UK, but the band disbanded in 1992, Björk began her solo carrier, his first single ‘Human Behaviour’ what would be translated as ‘Human Behavior’, their first album ‘Debut’ was released in 1993 and received very good reviews.
