Biography – Backstreet Boys

American pop band. Formed on April 20, 1993 in Orlando, its initial members were Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, A. J. McLean, Kevin Scott Richardson and Brian Littrell. On June 26, 2006, Kevin Richardson announced he would leave the band. The Backstreet Boys are the greatest “boyband” that is still active in the world, as they have sold over 100 million records. Currently have 17-year career and influenced the emergence of bands like * NSYNC and Westlife.
Lou Pearlman, a millionaire living in Florida, wanted to form a group of five young men who knew how to sing and dance. For this, placed advertisements in local newspapers and were selected A. J. McLean, 15, and Howie Dorough, 20, who were known for coming to the same auditions in search of work. The third component was a 13 year old boy who had already made several child actor and singer Nick Carter, who had to decide between the Group and supply of the famous Mickey Mouse Club youth program, quarry for numerous artists including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, JC Chasez, Keri Russell, Ryan Gosling, etc. In the end, chose the group.
